The Big 3!

Matelyn is THREE months old day! I know I say this at all of her milestones, but I can't believe it! The day got off to kind of a rough start - Matelyn decided to wake up a bizzillion times last night, and Matt was up half the night puking for some reason (possibly the Chinese food he ate). So we were all pretty tired this morning, and I was of course praying big time that Matelyn and I didn't get sick too.
I spent awhile trying to get a good smiley birthday picture of her for the blog this morning, which of course, is always impossible to do when you are trying. This is what I did get. . . .

Finally I got one when I put her down for a diaper change, which always brings out a smile :) She loves it - seriously! Not an awesome picure, but it was the best I could do.

Matelyn is more and more fun by the day! Some of her latest developments include:

Holding her head up on her own when she is upright (most of the time)

Reaching for and holding onto objects within her sight

Drooling and gumming her fist

Lots and lots of smiles and sometimes even a happy squeal

Her favorite word is GEE.

Also, we found out yesterday that she WILL have a spot at the church school down the street starting in January! This is such a huge blessing, and makes me feel much more at peace about going back to work soon. The people there are so sweet and loving, and I feel so good about taking her there. So, thanks to everyone who was praying for her to get a spot!
