I think I also may be in denial that my baby is turning two on Friday. WHAT? I guess it shouldn't come as that much of a shock to me, because she is talking and acting like such a big girl. We went to a birthday party on Saturday night and two different people asked me if she was 3. I think this is because she is half a foot taller than other two year olds, but one of the mom's who asked assured me it is because she acts so maturely - ha!
I wanted to capture some of the "big girl" things Sissy is saying before I forget them all. She is daily surprising us and cracking us up with the things she says.
Last week, I asked her if she needed a snack, and she said, "No Mama, I'm fine."
Yesterday, she was laying out all of her animals on various pillows around the living room. I asked if I could use one of the pillows and she said, "I'm sorry, Mama, that one's bear's."
Matt had Sissy in the car the other day and proclaimed that it was hot, to which she responded, "I know!"
If I try to do something for her, she often says, "No, let me do it."
It is just so wild to hear these grown up things coming out of her mouth in her tiny little voice!
She is so big into pretend right now! She is constantly putting all her animals (and Mommy and Daddy) night-night in various places around the house, and covers them up, pats them and kisses them for their tuck in. She is big on changing their diapers and will usually have a running commentary while she does it, such as "Uh oh, tiger has poo poo," or "Woofie is just wet." Ha!
