Four Month Update

Matelyn had her four month check up on Tuesday this week. While she was not particularly happy about getting shots, the visit went great overall. My big girl is 26 inches long already, putting her off the charts for height, and was 13 pounds, 8 ounces - 50 percentile for weight. And her head has grown too - she is now in the 75th percentile for head size. Matelyn was smiling and flirting with her Dr. (like she does with everyone), and he asked, is she always this happy? I was so proud to say that she is! Even when getting poked and prodded my sweet girl made a good impression :)

She is still working dilligently on rolling over . . . we know she will get it any day now. . . she is so close! She has become so curious and nosy. She loves to be looking at everything going on around her, and loves to play. She is squealing, laughing, and chatting.

And, she is finally sleeping great at night! She only wakes up once a night, around 4 am, for a feeding, and then sleeps until about seven. She doesn't stir at all during the night, except for this feeding. This has been a HUGE blessing for me especially, because I am getting much better sleep now.

This picture was when she was supposed to be napping. Now that she can entertain herself by playing with her feet, clothes, hands, etc., it is so hard to get her to take a nap! She has too much fun on her own to be bothered with naps.

Here she is enjoying her exercauser for the first time. She lovs it, and just swivels from toy to toy, trying to figure out which one to play with. She loves to be "standing," so this toy is perfect!
