The only slightly sour note from our trip

On Tuesday of our trip, Mattie fell while running on the beach and split her eye open on the arm of Popi's beach chair. She had a gash, so we wound up taking her to urgent care. Thankfully they did not have to do stitches, but they did "glue" her wound together. The only tramatic part of it all was having to hold her down during the cleaning and glueing. She did not take kindly to being restrained, and kept yelling "Sissy's STUCK!" in between sobs. All is fine now, and the glue and scab came off on Wednesday this week. We are treating the little scar and hopefully it will vanish!

I had taken this little video of her right before she fell. She was running back and forth between Popi and Papaw at the surf and the rest of us by the umbrellas, collecting an animal cracker each time. She had tired by the time I took this video and was slowed down to a walk . . . .
