Howdy partners! Mattie and all of the LHE kindergarteners have been studying a Texas unit at school, and did a "Texas" program at the PTA meeting and open house last week. Mattie and Sadie were super excited to pose for me! They were so keyed up. OH MY WORD!
Mattie showed me all of her work around her classroom, including her "Vet Book" that she wrote and illustrated.
I decided to run a half marathon again this year, thanks to Kristin who wanted to run her first race. So on Friday, Ben and I took the train downtown to the convention center to the runner's expo. That boy loves the trains! He was really good, and my little buddy while I got all my stuff.
The weekend was pretty low key, with the exception of Kristin and Jared coming up to visit and the race on Sunday. Kristin and Jared relayed the race - their first race ever! And I set a personal record with a time of 1:52:38, so I was quite pleased. Yay running!
