I figured I better get in a Christmas recap before it was 2015!
Once we got back from Georgetown we settled in to getting ready for Christmas Round 2. Well, our first day back was a fun day - because of the freezing cold and rain, we did a movie outing, trains at Northpark, lunch out and play time.
Christmas Eve was busy cooking, preparing all of the last minute gifts and our Christmas Eve service. Our family service at church is perfect for the kids, and we had a lovely dinner featuring homemade lasagna made by yours truly ;)
At midnight, we woke up to the sound of this little man trying to breathe. We wound up taking him straight to the emergency room where he got a breathing treatment and a steroid for his terrible case of croup. It was so crazy, because he was perfectly fine when he went to bed! Thankfully, we were able to go home after a few hours of observation, and got a quick catnap before it was time to see what Santa had brought!
Mattie's number one request from Santa this year was a pet fish!
Poor little sick Benny Boo was excited to see his bike! He even managed a few loops around the house.
Sister was the ultimate present distributor and assistant opener. She wanted to help everyone open all of their presents! Her sheer excitement over Christmas morning was adorable.
Ben managed to still enjoy Christmas morning with lots of cuddles and assistance, followed by a long nap. After a few days of cough and fever (and even Mattie coming up with a fever too) we are all back to normal. Hooray! And Merry Christmas!
