Diaper Darling

Matelyn had her official nine month check up yesterday. According to Dr. Dennison's note, she is a beautiful, happy, thriving child. Woohoo! That is what we like to hear. She was 19 pounds, 4 ounces (60th percentile), 28 3/4 inches (80th percentile), and her head has jumped up to the 90th percentile. After being made aware of Matt's rather large head size, Dr. Dennison said she is just fulfilling her genetic destiny, and then wrote "Dad has a big head" on her growth chart. HA!

Sissy is loving to feed herself, and pretty much screams whenever I come near her with babyfood. A typical dinner includes all kinds of goodies that she can feed herself - her newest favorite is shredded cheese. She LOVES cheese, just like her Mama! She is also feeding herself peas, blueberries, pear, corn, banana, breads, cheerios and just about anything she can get her hands on. Dinner time is SO much fun that we sometimes wind up just stripping down until it is time for bath - hence all of the diaper pictures lately. Here are a few from the other night.
These pictures look like Sissy is doing yoga, but really she just loves to be standing up so much now that she tries, even when she isn't near anything to pull up on. She is pulling up on EVERYTHING now. It is really fun to see her motor skills coming along so quickly.

Matt's genetics may have provided the large head, but the source of screaming when she is not happy is certainly no genetic mystery. She got it from her mamma!!

I take full credit for the "horse teeth" genes.

Love you,
Dad
