Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!! I have had the best Mother's Day/Weekend/Week! Things started off well when we found out on Monday night that Sissy's school was closed because of the whole swine flu thing. This was good news because my work let me work at home for the rest of the week, so we got so much time together. My dad came in on Wednesday evening and kept her while I worked (at home) on Thursday and they had a GREAT time. My mom and brother flew in Thursday night. We spent a leisurely day hanging out and shopping on Friday, finished off with chowing down on Mexican food on the patio at Luna for dinner. What could be better, you might ask?
Well, how about your husband gives you an early Mother's Day card at dinner that says I hope you and your mom enjoy your spa day at the Crescent tomorrow!!! For those of you out of towners, the Crescent is a super nice hotel in uptown Dallas. So my mom and I were treated to massages, lunch, manicures and pedicures on Saturday. It was heavenly! We were in our robes for like five hours . . . . AHHHH. Do I have the sweetest husband ever? Yes.

After our spa day, we met up with the boys and Mattie and strolled around Snyder Plaza. Mattie was really enjoying her Uncle Aaron! To celebrate Aaron's birthday, we went to dinner at a place called Fedora's in One Arts Plaza in downtown Dallas. It was a really cool place with a 40's/Mob inspired feel. Mattie really enjoyed herself at Fedora's. She was so excited, in fact, that she kept squealing and shrieking. We were pretty glad that we were there early and that there weren't too many patrons dining yet. The people there were really nice, but it wasn't exactly a bring all your kids type of place. . . .

Happy Birthday Uncle Aaron!

I was treated to breakfast made by Matt this morning, which was delish. I am not going to need to eat for a week! Now I have put my sweet girl down for her morning nap after rocking her for a long time and thinking about how lucky I am. I love being her Mama more than I knew was possible. Sometimes I just sit and stare at her while she is sleeping in my arms and try to memorize her face and these moments . . . they are so precious.
