Craziness!

Wow, this past week has been crazy!!! We had wild storms last week in Dallas, causing us to be without power for about 48 hours. Man, do I like air conditioning! The first night it wasn't too bad/hot because it had rained all day. We all slept comfortably on Thursday night, it was just really quiet. By the time I got home from work Friday with Sissy the house was simmering. We wound up having to throw everything out of the fridge and freezer, which was a bummer. We were super glad we already had plans to go to Round Rock to visit with Nanny and Pops and go to Jon's (of Paige and Jon) 30th bday party.

Unfortunately Mattie woke up with her first stomach bug Saturday morning. Poor little pumpkin couldn't keep anything down all day! She kept wanting to nurse, and it just kept coming right back up. She actually had fun playing with Cousin Lilly during the day (in between pukes), but by the evening she was still tossing cookies, hungry, tired, and not so happy. We finally got her to go to bed after her last episode, and I think she slept it off. She woke up at 4:30 am starving and seemed to be fine all day today. Whew. We got back home this evening to a house with electricity and air. Double whew. But we didn't get to go to Jon's party. Boo.

My camera battery died this weekend, so I got no pics, but these are just some cute shots of Mattie playing with her new favorite toy. . .her work station, complete with phone, laptop, book and keyboard.
