Matelyn had two milestones this past week, neither of which I got pictures of! First and foremost, she took a few steps on her own on Friday!!! Matt and I were just hanging out with her in her room, watching her stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down - over and over. And twice she took two steps on her own. Of course we did not even have the camera in the room, and she hasn't done it again since.
And second, she learned to make a fish face. I am not really sure how she learned this, as I don't usually go around making a fish face at her, but she loves to do it and gets real proud of herself and smiles big afterwards. I can't get a picture of it though. Every time I try to sneak the camera out while she is in a "fish face" mood, she immediately gets distracted and tries to grab the camera. I am still working on it though!
I did get some pictures of her at Gymboree for the first time for Anna's birthday party on Sunday. (Happy 2nd Birthday Anna!) She had a great time crawling fast and furious style on the big mats.
