Cheerios and Uh Ohs

I wish I could know what is going on in that little brain of hers! Every once in awhile she stops and looks and you can just see the wheels spinning, but most of the time it is GO GO GO! She does the most random, quirky things, but I know she is mimicking things she has seen us do. Yesterday after school, she was playing away as I was unloading and getting her dinner ready. She found a bowl and spoon and took them to her room, and then retrieved a few random Cheerios that were on or around her picnic table and took them and put them in the bowl in her room, one at a time. I came in to check on her, and she was "stirring" the Cheerios in the bowl.

In her new classroom, the kids that have been in there longer nap on mats. Sissy is still in a crib, but I guess she has been paying attention to the "big kids" napping on the floor. The last few days she has started pulling out random cloths and placing them on the kitchen floor (like a nap mat) and then laying on them. And she smiles really big when she does it!

Placing her mat . . . .
. . . and laying on it in this oh-so-comfortable looking position!

I got this little clip of her "stirring" and also saying Uh Oh - her first real word/phrase that she says with any consistency :)

You can really tell from this video how much attention she pays to me while she is playing!

Cooking, cleaning, and napping: three of Mimi's favorite activities. When she works in shopping and facebook, she will be completely up to speed!
