Matelyn is Officially a Toddler!

Hey Everyone! Sorry for the blog drought, but there was not a lot of interesting stuff going on in Viettiville over the last week. Poor, poor Sissy was sick for what seemed like forever. It was hard on everyone! But, as of Monday, she was back to herself and is eating us out of house and home! Seriously, the last few days she has eaten like six full meals per day. It is hilarious! Mattie's Nanny came up on Monday to keep her home from school a little bit longer and spend some time with her, and Mattie eased back in with a half day today.

Speaking of school, Mattie started in the Steppers class today (otherwise known as Toddler 1). Ever since we got the notice she was moving up, I have been so nervous about the transition. There is a lot of change that happens in this class. They go to the kitchen to eat snacks and meals. . . they learn how to nap on a nap mat. . . .they have circle time and music time and get to go outside and play. All new and exciting things, but for some reason I was anxious! She loved the teachers in her old classroom so much.

Apparently, all the worrying was totally unnecessary. Matt and Nanny dropped Sissy off with her new class this morning, and when Nanny picked her up after lunch today, she got to see Matelyn Hambone Vietti (her official new name) charging ahead to lead the class back down the hall to the classroom, grinning and squealing the whole way. Her new teacher said she had a great morning, and was too excited to even take her morning nap. None of this surprised me in the least :)

I asked Matt and Nanny to get a few pics of her on her first day as a Stepper!
Posing with her school bag
And, that lasted for one pic ;)
Daddy taking her to the big play room where both toddler classes do drop off. She usually only gets a paci now for sleeping, but we thought she might be nervous this morning.
Nervous. . . . who Mattie????
She was loving it!
