Is that a giraffe?

Matt had an annual football watching "Man Day" with his college buddies on Saturday, so it was just me and Sissy around our place. I decided to take her to the zoo for the first time. She was really thrilled to see the animals live and in person! She was also really thrilled to see pictures of the animals throughout the zoo, march around like she owned the place, and pick up random leaves and acorns along the way.

These pictures are of her first seeing the giraffe. It was the first "real animal" we came to. It was hard to get great pictures because she had a death grip on my finger!

She was looking at it like - Mama, is that really a giraffe?
Crouching down to really inspect and assess the situation.
Maybe if I get lower, I can figure this out?
Mama, it really is a giraffe!
I better take a closer look.
The real highlight of the zoo trip was not the animals, but the carousel ride. We had to do it twice of course. I am pretty sure we could have stayed on for an hour if I would have brought that much cash with me. She loved it!

Sissy riding the tiger, or course.

Giving tiger a nice pat. Good tiger.
And she was passed out by the time I got back onto the highway. Tired from her big outing!
Note that she has her animal book in her lap - That is her car seat entertainment. She just sits back there and holds her book, looking at the pictures of animals. It is too cute!

I got this little clip of her dancing at the zoo. There was a tunnel that went to the Wilds of Africa section, that had blue lights and music. I caught the tail end of her dancing, so it is only a few seconds. . . . but still pretty sweet.
