I'm a BIG girl now!

Sissy is not only two, but she is officially becoming a BIG girl in many news ways! The week after her big birthday, Mimi decided to do what I was too chicken to do and get rid of the paci. She was only using it for nap and bedtime, but man did she love that paci! Sissy has done really well without it - with the exception of a few drama filled afternoons without naps, but I think she is over the hump now. During one of those no-nap afternoons, I found her trying to dive head first out of her crib. I quickly deduced, with Mimi's confirmation, that perhaps we should switch over to the toddler bed function of her convertible crib.

And here is my big girl in her big girl bed!
She was super proud of herself, getting in and out on her own!
There has been only one instance of her trying to get out of bed and make a run for it during nap time, but that was quickly squashed and it hasn't happened again (thank goodness)! She stays put when she is ready to get up from nap or in the morning and waits for us to come get her up :)
Sissy is a big girl - literally! We had her two-year check up on Monday. She is 36 3/4 inches tall (off the charts tall), 29.4 pounds (80th percentile), and her head is still off the charts too (thanks, Daddy). Overall, it was a really fun check up, and she was so chatty with Dr. Denison that I had to ask her to be quiet several times so I could hear what he was saying. She did have to get one shot AND get blood drawn from her arm, but she recovered from both really quickly. Mama was proud!
