Tick tock

The weeks are flying by . . .I am trying not to enter panic mode as I keep ticking off how many weeks we have until baby boy's due date. If anyone is counting besides me, it is 7. And Mattie was two weeks early. And the boy still doesn't have a name and his nursery is not finished. It is enough to give me a panic attack just thinking about it!

On the home front, we had a busy, busy week with work and church and other activities. Sissy has a cough and a bit of a cold so we stayed in most of the day yesterday. She has not really been sleeping well, so neither have I the past few nights. I am pretty sure last night I went into her room no less than 30 times. Fun! I think maybe she is just helping me prepare for those newborn sleep deprivation nights. I did manage to accidentally stay in my pjs all day yesterday, which was pretty nice :)

This is how silly Sissy came out of her room dressed last night while I was making dinner. Well, whatever keeps you warm I guess. Sweet girl has her Mama's thighs!
Mattie no longer sits in her booster (Lion) chair at meals. She insists on sitting in a big girl chair and having a big girl cup. How does time pass so quickly??? (Anyone sense a theme here?!!?!?) Oh and on a side note, she has continued to do great with potty training. No accidents all week at school, and she has been totally fine with going at church and other places we are out and about.

Last night for one her bedtime stories, Mattie picked this book called Someday for me to read to her. It is a book my mom gave me when I was pregnant with her and it is about the things your baby will do someday . . . well, I am way too hormonal for that, seriously. I got all choked up while I was reading it to her and could barely get the words out. Then even when we moved on to Curious George, I couldn't get it together. She kept looking at me saying, "Are you crying, Mama?" Finally she said, "Mama, read like a big girl please." HAHA! That was enough to make me laugh and get over my tears. I can't be hampering my sweet girl's story time with my emotions :)

What a hoot - the silly way she dressed and then telling you to read like a big girl. She is a riot!!! Sorry about that Someday book. It is pretty dramatic.
