We are working on a little project at our house that I am excited about! I will be posting before and after pictures when it is all done . . .which will likely be a few months at the rate we are going. When you have two small children, the time between getting an idea for a home project in your head until implementation and completion is often very very slow. Which is very. very. very. difficult for me!
I was determined to make progress, and we had designated this weekend as the weekend to do some shopping and get some ideas! So even though yesterday it was pouring down rain and cold, we went out to a few places. Some might call me psycho (Matt), others determined. But in the end it paid off because we found one thing we liked! And Mattie fully enjoyed trying out and touching almost every item in every store. I am sure every salesperson was thrilled to see us walk through their doors. I will say that you learn to be quick and efficient with your decisions when you shop with two kids.
And today we had church this morning, followed by lunch with our Sunday School class. It was such a beautiful day compared to yesterday, we decided to do some more shopping (browsing) in an area where we could just walk outside from store to store.
We had a pit stop at the Highland Park pharmacy for some ice cream!

This is how Ben and Mama looked during most of our shopping. He had outgrown the beloved Baby Bjorn, so I borrowed a "big boy" carrier to keep him close to me and happy, and he was. He took a couple naps in this thing over the weekend. (And yes, that is the same sweater I was wearing in the last post!)

Mattie crashed on the way home and took a rare, late nap, and then we went to apartment church. This is Mattie a.k.a. Rahab - helping tell the story with the two spies. She was pretty proud!

Me and the kids will be home tomorrow celebrating President's Day - woohoo!
