Today feels like the start of a whole new era. I'm trying to only be excited for all that my sweet girl is going to learn and experience, the new friends she will make and the fun she is going to have. But I can't help but be sad we are losing that freedom to play when we want, our Friday fun days . . . my baby girl is growing up!
And here is proof - Mattie the KINDERGARTENER!!!
Last night we prayed and talked and she seemed to be feeling pretty good. And this morning she was actually hyped up and excited! She wanted to take a picture jumping up :)
And of course, Ben has to get in the middle of everything.
The whole family walked her to school, and we joined in with another family/friend from down the street which was fun for her. Sissy got a little more quiet as we got into the school, but she was excited to go in and say hi to her teacher and find her seat.
Here she is at her table with her name tag on. When it came time for me to actually leave, Sissy got pretty clingy, but she didn't cry. And Mama held it together until I walked out of the school. I already can't wait to go pick my girl up this afternoon!!!
