Christmas morning was probably the most fun one we have had yet. Mattie is at a great age for Santa and presents, and Ben is getting into the spirit too. Ben ate probably about 30 pieces of candy on Christmas morning . . . he wouldn't stop!
Both kids got new bikes from Santa and a few other things, but the big excitement for Mattie was nightgowns for her and Caroline . . .
And a new bed for Caroline.
Ben got lots and lots of Thomas gear, and he couldn't have been happier. He and Mattie both actually like playing with the trains, which is awesome!
Today we ventured out and went downtown to ride the trolley, hit the museum . . . and of course the downtown park.
They have an "ice skating" rink set up for the holidays. Mattie has been dying to ice skate, so I thought it would be so fun. Well, turns out it was synthetic ice - which I have no idea how you are supposed to skate on. But she thought it was a pretty big deal and it was a beautiful day!
We are enjoying our time together!
