We spent the day together yesterday and it could not have been a more perfect day! It was sunny and 80 degrees which is such a welcome change after the snow and ice we have had the last few weeks. We spent some time at the park and then went to the lake for a picnic lunch. Mattie loved it. We watched the birds, ducks, boats, cyclists, runners, etc for over an hour. She would stand up and wave and yell hi at the top of her lungs everytime a cyclist went by and got so excited everytime someone waved back. Note all of these pics are from my phone and she wouldn't look at me in any of them!
In the afternoon, she went with me to my drs appt and got to "help" the doctor measure mama's tummy and help listen to the heartbeat. She was very proud of herself!
Then Sissy got to go see her man Jake, and even played in the dirt with dump trucks! True love I tell you. I have never seen her play with dirt before, but she was into it.
Finally a little movie time after pizza and a bath :) It was an awesome day!!!

The big question - has Jake started saving for the engagment ring for his girl yet? They are so precious together. Who else could get Mattie to touch dirt much less play and sit in it! What a darling couple they make;-)
