Well, it still feels kind of like summer after 11 am, but it is fall I guess, based on all of our activities this weekend (to be documented below for your viewing pleasure.)! And we are supposed to get down to the 40s this week. WAHOO! I'm going to bust out my boots!
We have been cheering for the Cardinals - fingers crossed tonight!!!!!
The girls (Mama, Mimi, Mattie) visited the pumpkin farm on Saturday. It was hot and sunny - can you tell by Sissy's expression?
Sissy enjoyed climbing ON the pumpkins.
The little train was her favorite part.
Except for when she was totally thrilled by a surprise that Jacob came to the pumpkin farm too! We last minute crashed their family trip to the pumpkin farm ;) And Jacob fell off the curb right when I took the picture. (No kids were harmed in the taking of this picture.)
They enjoyed feeding the goats. Man, they stink.
I love their smiles in this picture. I cannot say how much these two love each other. You should have seen how much she brightened up when she was Jacob.
Later on we went shoe shopping (for Sissy) and met Daddy for dinner after poor Daddy had to work all day . . .
Ben and Popi were good boys while the girls shopped.
Sissy enjoyed trying on MULTIPLE pairs of shoes and strutting around in them.
I was not really going to do the whole pumpkin carving activity until Mattie was old enough to beg me to, but Mimi was totally excited to do it with her. It was a win-win.
Here is Sissy with her jack-o-latern that she named Baby Kate - coincidentally the name of the baby to be in Sarah's tummy. :)
