Flying Solo

Mattie had a great first week as a HoneyBee (4-year old class). To celebrate how well her week was going, and to take advantage of the last week of the pool, we went swimming Wednesday night with our friends. Popsicles were a must :) When I told Mattie I wanted to take her picture, she immediately struck this pose. Seriously?
She is pretty cute though! When she isn't driving me crazy of course!
Matt went on a little road trip to visit his Granny this weekend, so I am flying solo with the kids. Last night, I let Sissy have "movie night" with Mama and then a very special treat - slumber party in Mama's bed! This was a first for us (as I am pretty strict with no kids in our bed unless we are just playing), but it was about as excited as I have ever seen her. She was so hyped up I thought she might never got to sleep. She did eventually pass out and I wanted to take her picture so bad, but I wasn't willing to risk waking her with the flash.
This morning, we walked to the donut shop, Mattie on her bike, and then went to the park. Of course we can't wait for Daddy to come home tomorrow, but I am enjoying my time with this little man . . .
and this donut loving girl (all sweaty from her helmet!)!
