So . . . Matt is out of town again this weekend . . . and yes, I am THE BEST wife ever to let him be gone twice in a row :) Seriously though, Matt is an amazing Dad and he deserves a fun boys weekend with his friends! And, this weekend is going splendidly because we have spent 90% of it with our besties (the Dads are having fun together). Friends always makes things better!

The second best thing about this weekend was that, after a week of 100+ temps we got a cold front last night! The weather was amazing today! And it was just perfect for a morning in the park and cheering on Jacob in his first soccer game! We had donuts in the park for breakfast of course.
Jake was feeling a little apprehensive about the soccer paparazzi before the game.

Mattie and Ben had a really fun time just running in the open space next to the game.
I have really not seen Ben so happy in a long time!

I am so thankful for our friends that are like our family here. Mattie and Jake are hilarious and just the best of friends. Mattie totally passed out in the car on the way home tonight (at 6:30 pm) she was so tired. She woke up when we got home only enough to tell me she wanted to sleep with Jacob's bear he let her bring home today. Sarah and I are doing everything possible to make sure they get married one day!!!
