BEN IS TWO!
Sweet Benny Boy, you are so precious! We adore you, and love your snuggles and your silliness. We love your obsession with cars and trucks, and how you knew the word car before pretty much any other. We love how you give ferocious hugs. We love how you still let us rock you before bed, and we really love that you still sleep thirteen hours a night!
You make us laugh all the time. You love to read about the first three pages of every book and then throw it across the room. You love to crash your cars and push your mower and go on long walks. You love to play games and be silly . . .and you really love to run and run . . .and run from your mama, especially when it is time to change your diaper or put your clothes on.
Oh my word, was this really one year ago? I don't think a year has ever gone by so fast.
This was a challenging year - you are learning to do things on your own and how to communicate your needs and wants. There have been many moments I didn't think I would be able to get you in your carseat or get a diaper on you because you are so feisty and so strong!
But Ben, you win Mama's heart with that smile and I can't stay mad at you for very long. You run over and bury your head in my shoulder and squeeze my neck and it gets me every time! My heart melts for you, little man.
