Happy Thursday! Thursday is like Friday to me, except now Mattie goes to school on Fridays . . . . so it is kind of like a half Friday. Clear as mud? Anyways, we are ALMOST to the weekend!
Thought you might want to know that Mattie LOVES school. Homework is not her favorite activity, but she really seems to be thriving as we finish up week number four! I may have already mentioned this, but her teacher is amazing and fun and so creative at getting her kids excited about coming to school. They earn "parties" with good behavior, so Tuesday this week was a PJ party. Anyone who knows Mattie Vietti knows she is thrilled about staying in her PJs all day!
This picture shows Sissy with her "daily behavior chart" (on PJ day). Their red folder comes home every day with homework, notes, permission slips, etc. And the behavior chart. They color in the behavior color they end up on every day before leaving school. Each kid starts out on green, but can move up to purple if they are noticed doing something extra good, or can more down to yellow or red. Sissy has gotten four days in a row of purple and is super proud!
I know, I know . . .another picture of Mattie walking to school . . but how cute is it? We are so lucky that there are four girls on our street alone in kinder this year. Walking her to school and getting to know a lot of the other moms has been a highlight for me. It is a whole new sense of community!
