Week 2 down, how many more to go?

Happy Tuesday!
I meant to post my weekend wrap up yesterday, but yesterday was . . .well, it was Monday. We successfully made it through week 2 of kindergarten last week. Sissy loves everything about school. She loves her teacher, her friends, her lunch - everything. Parents had a meeting with the teachers last week so they could explain everything to us . . . testing, homework, tardies, absences, uniforms, whew. It was a lot of information to take in, but I have to say, Mattie's teacher Ms. Griffin is awesome. She is so fun and really knows how to motivate the kids and get them excited to come to school! (At least for the first few weeks!)

And although Miss Priss has been doing great at school, the tiredness and excitement of school has left her a little lacking in sweetness at home. So we have been really trying to work through that with rest, love and happy hour (for Mama, not Mattie. . . just to clarify).

This weekend we tried to be a low key as possible and have a lot of family time. Popi and Mimi sent these adorable Michigan shirts for the kids. Ben was VERY not pleased that I was trying to take his picture. I'm sure you would never have known if I hadn't told you. The funny thing was that he loved the shirt. Was so excited about it and wanted to put it on right away!

Mattie loves to play games, so we did a lot of game playing this weekend. Tic Tac Toe and Checkers are on the favorite list right now.

I have taught in Mattie's Sunday School class for over a year now, so this year I decided to move to teach Ben's class. Especially since he is labeled as "Mr. No Church" in our house. He starts saying "No go church" on Sunday mornings as soon as he gets the vibe we are starting to get dressed for it. And then he will start boohooing as soon as we pull in the parking lot. Mr. No Church actually did great this week. . . here he is nerding it up during Bible story time.
So other than making it through the week and waiting on a cold front, that is about all I got! Have a good one :)
