There are many many many things I love about October. I love the weather cooling off, I love the thrill of the holiday season around the corner, I love getting pumpkins and mums on my front porch. Last Saturday, October finally seemed to move in . . . the cold front literally moved in right during Mattie's soccer game!

Even though the cold front made it chilly, we had fun at the Lake Highlands Octoberfest Saturday afternoon. Mattie especially had a great time after Ada-Grace showed up!
Ben and I have been spending lots of time together this week. It is funny how quickly my time has filled up during this unplanned week off of work. I got a lot of errands done, things around the house complete and enjoyed walking Mattie to school and picking up everyday. The extra time with the kids has been fabulous!
Ben and I just went for a train on the Dart yesterday.
And perhaps the most blissful things about October is that Mimi and Popi flew in today and Matt and I are leaving tomorrow morning for an early ten-year anniversary trip to Mexico. We are so excited!!!
