Ah . . . . Homecoming!

Baylor Homecoming is a fun Vietti family tradition now! We have taken Mattie now all three years that she has been alive for homecoming and it is really fun. Of course we love the excuse to get to see a bunch of our besties in Waco! The rest is all just gravy :)

Mattie was super excited to spend the weekend at Libby's house. She was beside herself to leave on Friday morning to go to Libby's house. Sissy had a great time getting to cruise around town with Libby, play with Libby's toys and books and just do stuff with her in general. Luckily Libby is still small enough to pretty much go along with Mattie's whims!
Then for an even bigger treat, Paige and Caroline joined us bright and early Saturday morning for the parade!
The three girls watching the parade :)
You may notice that in every parade picture, Mattie's eyes are totally cut to the side because she was intent on not missing anything that was coming down the road. She was very into it. She didn't squeal and clap like last year, she was just very focused. And she wanted to hug all the bears, of course.
The girls got a photo-op with the cheerleaders!
And then Sissy got a personal photo-op later at tailgate. She kept saying, I want to see the cheerleaders, or I want to see the bear, the entire time at tailgate. So yeah, it was super fun for me - ha! Can you tell what kind of stinker mood she was in by her face in this picture? It was her naptime, in her defense.
We opted to nap during the game - which turned out awesome, but had a very long rain delay. We were happy with our decision! To cap off our time in Waco we got to see the Watwoods! It was too quick of a visit, but Mattie was enthralled with Sophie as usual. Can you tell by this picture how much fun she was having with her? She was a little more chipper after that nap ;)
So chipper, in fact, that she stayed awake til almost midnight after we cruised into Nanny and Pops house later Saturday evening. That girl! But the best news was we got to meet our new nephew (and Mattie's new cousin) Garrett Wayne on Sunday morning. Congrats to the Jackson's on their precious little boy! We had a great visit in which the dads took the girls to the bounce house and I got to sit and hold a four-day old for a few hours! Hopefully I will get some pictures up from that visit soon . . . . .
