I love getting into the Halloween spirit, because it always means that the real holidays are right around the corner! But I have to say, I refuse to get into the Christmas spirit quite yet, even though some stores have their full Christmas tree displays out right next to the Halloween stuff. And I have to admit, last week I did think about going ahead and buying Mattie some Christmas pj's so that I would have the best pick of the selection, but I abstained on principle based on the fact that it was still September.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day here with a high of only 70 degrees. It was heavenly! I wanted to take full advantage of it . . . we even walked to church to enjoy the coolness in the air! We went to our neighborhood pumpkin patch yesterday afternoon. It was the first day of it, and they were even unloading the final pumpkins as we got there, so we really got first pick! They may rot by Halloween, but that's okay :)
This was about the best picture I could get at the pumpkin patch. And it kind of looks like she is sitting down to go potty on the pumpkin . . . . oh well.

But luckily Sissy was really in the posing mood once we got home with our family of pumpkins. We picked out our Daddy, Mama, Sissy and Baby-to-be pumpkins under her supervision. And then she got another little tiny one just for her to carry around.

We even put some "stickers" on the front door. The dollar store is so awesome for stuff like this!

Mattie was very excited for "Scare-
cay-row" to make his reappearance for fall! At first she insisted on carrying him around, which really wasn't too safe since the bottom of his stick is basically an impaling weapon that you stab into the ground. But once he was up, she wanted to stand by him and hold his hand :)

That's my Sissy!
