Mattie and Mama had a date today . . . Sissy went to her very first movie in the theater! We went to see Disney's African Cats. Mattie was very excited to go to the mall, ride the escalator, get our tickets . . .
And of course eat movie popcorn! She was pretty excited for about 30 minutes, but I think the storyline narration style of the movie was a little over her head. We had to go potty twice and she did ask me about every 30 seconds "what's happening?" Still, it was a lot of fun and I was excited to have a date with my girl :)

Anytime I am taking pictures of Ben, Mattie wants to come hold him for a picture. Ha!
So we had plans to also go the the White Rock Lake Festival today. It rained this morning, but it was holding out this afternoon (even though it was chilly!), so we decided to brave the temperatures and do it. Mattie was very excited about the promised bounce houses and pony rides. And then we got there about 3:30 and everything was packed up. . . .guess the weather was not really pleasant enough after all. And after actually standing outside for about 30 seconds, I was glad because it was cold and windy! So Sissy had to settle for playing on the McDonald's playground. having little dates like that is soooo special!! i know that meant the world to matelyn!! and bubba is looking so different and i am SO thankful i get to get some ben-lovin' this week!!
