We all had a really fun time at Nanny and Pops' house this weekend. . . . but also Ben slept through the night the first night we got there. WHAT!?!?! Yes, that is right. He slept from 10:30 until I woke him up at 7:30 the next morning. The next two nights he only got up once at 4 am for a feeding and then slept until 7:30. This is huge and unprecedented territory for little man. Therefore if he doesn't sleep well the next few nights here at home, I am packing up the kids and moving in with Nanny and Pops!
Mattie would be thrilled with that. She had so much fun at their house this weekend and with Cousin Lilly that she absolutely did not want to come home! Here are the girls filling up their pool under Pops' supervision. Amazingly they did not spray each other or Pops with the water hoses!
Pops is such a good sport with these girls and they just adore him! You should have heard the shrieking going on while they splashed him silly.
On Sunday we took a ride on the Hill Country Express, an old fashioned train! We were fancy because Nanny got us our very own compartment. If we had been traveling in the olden days, we could have washed our faces and pulled our beds down and hit the hay in our little room.
Ben was a little unsure about the train ;)
It was a really neat train ride . . . but after a couple of hours in a small compartment with four kids under the age of three, all of the adults were ready for a refreshing beverage!
These girls love each other so much - it is so fun that they are just six weeks apart! I hope they will always be such friends!
