Ben is THREE months!

Can't believe my hunk of sugar is a quarter of a year old in approximately three hours! He is mama's sweet boy. . . . I took him up to my office yesterday to see some folks, and everyone just kept saying, he is so sweet, so easy, so happy. We just passed him around for about an hour and he was totally fine. Not saying that to brag, that is just who he is! He is very chill and happy right until the time comes for him to go to sleep or eat, then you get a little fuss fuss, but not too much if you give him what he wants :) Or if you put him in his carseat, that could be a whole other side to him. . . . and there are certain things he is particular about. He does not like to be held in the cradle position and won't rock unless he is already basically asleep. He likes to be snuggled upright, and walked. I think I have just about worn out the floorboards in our front living room walking him to sleep multiple times a day.

These are some pics I took of little man when we got home from our visit yesterday.

He is starting to find him hands and check them out some. And he is majorly drooling now, almost to where I should keep a bib on him, but I don't want to yet. He will laugh out loud at who knows what, and loves for you to just talk and smile at him. I had kind of forgotten the absurd lengths I will go to in order to make my baby smile. We have lots of talking time every day.

He is eating about every three hours during the day with a little nap in between every feeding. If I keep him in his routine, for the most part he gets up only once at night between 3:30 and 4 and then sleeps again until 7ish. I have found if he gets out of his routine, he will wake up and be awake for at least an hour or so during the night without fail. So needless to say, I am trying to stick to that routine! Of course I finally feel like we are getting it down and I go back to work in three weeks. But I guess that is good, I will feel more like I can tell others how he needs to be taken care of that way. And hopefully get some sleep at night too.

This is my serious face.

I hadn't really done any comparison shots with Mattie and Ben. This is her right around 3 months too, with a somewhat similar expression.

And this is both of them on the same changing table.

I really think they look different in this set of shots. Their faces are shaped so differently.

They are very similar in a lot of ways. . . both very happy babies, but I can't wait to see how Ben continues to develop into his own little person!
