Whew, we made it. I was super nervous about flying by myself with both kids this morning, but we made it without any major meltdowns to Ann Arbor! And this is despite the fact that the DVD player did not work on the flight, which totally killed my "Mattie will watch a movie for two hours of the flight" plan. She was still pretty good, especially considering she had a new princess movie to watch and was very disappointed. She spent about 30 minutes "fishing" with the headphones - she dropped them down over the seat and then pulled her "fish" up with the cord. Quite creative I tell you.
We are all excited to be here and enjoying the much much much cooler weather. I had to put a sweater on Mattie before we went to dinner! I was a little busy so don't exactly have pictures of the trip, but I do have some pics I uploaded earlier this week and never got around to posting.
Here is sweet boy Ben in his bed watching his mobile. Look how big he is getting! We are just calling him Little Matt Vietti. Ha!
Tuesday was Royal Ball day at Mattie's school where she got to dress up as a princess! YAY! They went to a banquet and jumped over moats and fun stuff like that. Totally a side story, but she almost didn't make it to Royal Ball Day because we had thunderstorms Monday night and the thunder, followed by the power outage at 3:30 am woke her up AND SHE NEVER WENT BACK TO SLEEP. Yeah, it was a really fun night. The real rub was the no power, we couldn't even turn on a movie! But luckily we got the garage door open even with no power, because who doesn't want to stay home with their almost three year old who has been up since 3:30?

And here is my little Picasso hard at work. I am thinking about framing some her work for my living room - it looks pretty perfect to me!
