Ben - you are TEN months! Your first birthday is so close! I remember at this time last year, I was just dying with the anticipation of your arrival - it was so close, but still out of reach.
This past month held Ben's first Christmas and his first NYE party . . . we had a lot of fun, and I got to spend so much time with him! This month has not been full of big changes, just things speeding up . . . including him. Sweet boy is still so sweet :) I got him to sit still and pose for a split second, but more often than not . . .
this is the view I usually see. (This is the view of him pulled up on my leg.) Usually when we set him down, he either crawls back to us and pulls up on our legs, or he takes off to chew on one of the forbiddens - such as the trash, the toilet, the windowsill, etc. It is so hard to keep him out of EVERYTHING. He wants just about anything except for his approved toys.
But it is hard to be mad at this sweet face :)
Ben still takes two naps a day, a short one in the morning and a long one in the afternoon, and sleeps about 7-7 every night. He is a super sleeper (finally)!
He is eating more and more finger foods, and I try to give him some of what we are eating at every meal. He still likes to be fed baby food at every meal too. The other night at dinner he ate a lot of our meal, so I didn't feed him baby food (for the first time) and he just kept looking at me like, mom, where is it?!?
Ben still gives really good cuddles and burrows in when he is tired, but won't really let me rock him or hold him still for too long. He claps and gives pats and bangs on everything. Oh and he babbles and lot now, saying baba, dada, mama, nana . . .just your basic baby babble. He thinks it is hilarious to shake his head no!
Most of all this boy L.O.V.E.S his Sissy. He will chase her around the house just as fast as his little crawling self can take him. He squeals and smiles when she is around, and he wants to do exactly what she is doing . . .which is a little difficult. She is mostly really sweet to him, but will yell NO (super loud) when he starts to touch her stuff.
Sibling love!
