WHY why why do weekends always go so fast! I don't know what I did before I had three-day weekends . . . it seems like it is always Sunday night before I can blink!
Saturday was a big day as BEN got a big boy haircut! He had a little trim up on his mop a few months back, but this was an official haircut. He even sat on the chair by himself! Sissy also loves to go with Daddy to Mr. Wes' barbershop, so it was a family event.
I love this picture, because Ben is just looking at me like, really Mom, really? But you can also see the shaggy level his hair was, especially around the ears.
He did great, and just looked around so sweetly the whole time. Well, almost the whole time . . . we didn't quite get to finish around those ears perfectly, but it's a good start. The highlight for Ben was playing while Daddy got his haircut :)
We made a family grocery store run, then I had a hair appt, naps, play time, and poof, it was time for . . . .
Girls night in honor of my sweet friend Stacie (and Baby Katherine)! Not much else beats a fun dinner with your girlfriends and tons of baby girl clothes to ohh and ahh over!
Matt was a little under the weather, so the kids and I went to church, and Mattie and I met some friends at the park while the boys napped. We are getting spoiled with this unseasonably warm weather!
We also had lots of typical, bowl-on your-head play today.
Mattie and I are serving (most) Sundays at a neigborhood apartment where our church does a VBS-type hour for the kids there every Sunday. It is always nice to end the weekend with a little perspective.
Dinner, bath and bed for the kids (both by 7:30), and Matt and I are vegging.
And it will be Monday morning before we know it!
