After four years on the waiting list, we FINALLY got into the KayCee Pool - this is the membership pool in our neighborhood (it isn't like we have some other free community pool we could go to, this is the only one). It opened this weekend, and we braved the crowds today. It was awesome! We went this morning and played with the kids in the pool, and ate lunch from the grill there. Both of the kids had so much fun, and they napped hard when we got home. And of course, we took advantage and napped right along with them!

After nap time, we got dressed for a Memorial Day party at friends house. Sister wanted a picture that showcased her wreath she made at apartment church yesterday.

Me and my love muffins!

Daddy and the BOO man!

The party had amazing food, and the kids got to swim again! After the party, we walked with our friends to Flagpole Hill - a park just across from the lake - to enjoy a concert of patriotic music and FIREWORKS! Mattie had never seen fireworks, and she was amped about it. This is Mattie and Ada-Grace marching to the music. (Mattie is only six months older that AG- ha!)

It was about nine by the time the fireworks started, but Ben watched a little of them and then dozed off on Mama. Sissy (after eating about her third brownie of the night) sat in Daddy's lap for the show. It was so fun.

Right now I am pretending like I don't have to get up for work in six hours . . . too bad we don't get a holiday to recover from the holiday!
