Summer is here! Around this time of year I always start to feel like I should be on summer vacation, and that we should be doing fun stuff and being more flexible with schedules . . . .even though we don't really get a summer break! Friday we spent the day with our besties, and Mattie and Jacob were just like an old married couple, as usual :) We somehow wound up not getting home until 9:30, and look who was excited to be breaking the bedtime rules!
Very very very sadly, I actual had to WAKE both of my children up on Saturday morning, because it was time for Ben to get his summer haircut. (Matt had a haircut too, and Ben cannot quite be trusted to sit and behave during said haircut.) I especially hate to ever wake this girl up, as it is such a treat for her to sleep late. But after a donut and m&ms from Mr. Wes (the barber), she was a happy girl.
We hit up the pool after haircuts and ate lunch from the grill. I think the pool membership will be worth every penny because kids come home and PASS OUT after a few hours out there. Matt and I attended our first crawfish broil Saturday night with some friends, and it was so much fun! I didn't think to take a picture though.
I really wanted to get pictures before church this morning to showcase Ben's new haircut. This is pretty much how he reacts when restrained in any way by someone.
Attempt #2 was a little better! (See Boo's little skinned knee? One of his first!)
