A tea party fit for the princess!

*Warning. . . Picture Overload!*

We celebrated our sweet Sissy's 4th Birthday today with a Princess Tea Party/Sleeping Beauty party (our theme changed a few times over the last couples of weeks . . .). The day started off with a surprise she has been begging for!
A Sleeping Beauty dress from Mimi and Popi!
After last year's Breakfast Bounce party with 22 kids, I decided to keep things smaller this year, so just a few of Sissy's regular peeps came for her first tea party. I was sure to snap a picture of the table before the pre-schoolers got to it.
One of Mattie's favorite "big girls" came over to help with the party Dress Up table. The girls got to have their nails painted, make-up put on, and jewelry to pick out.
I'm pretty sure it was the highlight of the party for Sissy!
The girls also decorated princess wands . . . and there was a crown too for our lone boy invitee. . . Mattie's best boy Jacob!
The six all sat at the table for their official tea (which was pink lemonade).
The royals munched on heart shaped sandwiches, scones, grapes and cupcakes.

Singing Happy Birthday to the Birthday Princess! She requested her own Sleeping Beauty cake.
What princess party is complete without dancing?
We played a few games too of course. This was a version of Hot Potato, but was the poisonous apple instead. They weren't too sure about it :)
 Mattie in heaven with Hannah!
 With her man Jake.
 And with Mama.
Don't worry - someone (NANNY!) dressed Boo up for the party!
Sissy was in heaven getting to spend the rest of the day with her Cousin Lilly! I think it is so special that all four of Mattie's grandparents were here today and have been with us for three of her four birthdays. And that we can all sit around and talk for hours over happy hour and dinner after the princess tea party!
I'm a little worried Mattie will be let down on Monday (her real birthday). I think she is confused about her "real birthday" because she kept saying during her party, this isn't my real tea party. I assured her that it was - we will not be repeating on Monday! I can't believe my sweet Sissy will be four in two days!!!!
