Sundays

Sunday Sunday Sunday! As hard as I try not to, I tend to always get really grumpy on Sundays for some reason. It usually happens after we get the kids home from church, and everyone is tired and facing the fact that Monday is coming up soon. Doing apartment church on Sunday evening helps - at least it takes the focus off of me and my grumpiness for a bit. Matt and I are trying to get up before the kids and have some quiet time together to start the day. We have also really been focusing on trying to make Sundays a day of rest for the family - trying to have all the laundry done ahead of time, all of the grocery store runs complete, the errands done, the school bags packed . . . so that we can enjoy some family time before the week starts. I mean who wouldn't want to spend time with this sweet face? And it's just ice water ya'll, nothing better than that! She was excited I got her a straw :)

 And this boy too? Ice water. Poor boo had some major tummy issues this weekend. . . that resulted in a pretty bad case of diaper rash, but you would never know it looking at this grin.

But for some reason Sunday afternoons always feel restless. The dread of Monday morning coming prevents me from enjoying the time I still have left in the day. But it also is as if I am ready for the day to be over at the same time. It is something I need to work on for sure! Because Sundays should not be a day to complain, but a day to be thankful. 

These sweet lovies sure help! I am letting Mattie take picture with my old camera now, and she runs around the house taking pictures of all of us, and her dolls, and all kinds of random things. And after every single pictures, she runs to me and shows me what she captured - so proud of herself each time. I need to do a post with her shots. . . I feel one coming soon . . . stay tuned!
