The story at apartment church on Sunday was about Esther. Mattie even got to "play"Esther for the story, and has been talking about her a lot. For the craft, the kids colored an Esther picture and put "jewels" on her crown. Mattie colored her Esther green, which I thought was odd, but she is three (almost four of course).
Mattie also loves to watch Veggie Tales - Exhibit A:
So Wednesday, she asked to watch the Esther Veggie Tales. As she is watching it, it dawns on me that the Esther in Veggie Tales is green. So I said, Mattie is that why you colored your Esther green the other night? And she looked at me, rather exasperated, and said, YES MOM . . .Esther is a cucumber.
Oh, right. I'm so dense.
Mornings are my favorite time with Benny Boo! He is so sweet and cuddly in the morning! He loves to just sit in my lap and drink his milk and eat his breakfast. And I get lots of hugs and snuggles during breakfast time. It's sometimes the best part of my day!
And please excuse my beauty in this picture. I had just come in from a run in the 85 degree heat at 6am!
