A walk on the wild side

We are some wild party animals around here. Check out the craziness that went on at our house on Friday ;)
The kids are enjoying the chalkboard door. . . we put spiderwebs and some Halloween stuff on it this weekend. Mattie drew the ghosts. And Ben, well, he added some "scribble scrabble" as Mattie calls it. Oh yeah, and he also draws on his face.
And possibly licks chalk off his fingers.

Saturday, we celebrated our favorite four-year old boy's birthday (Jacob, in case you had to ask!) with an outing to the Heard Museum. It is a nature kind of place, and they currently have a dinosaur exhibit with realistic looking dinosaurs that make noise and move a little. And contrary to what we thought going in, they are not life size. Sarah and I proved our knowledge domination over the science world, when halfway through the walking tour we discussed how we really thought that dinosaurs were bigger. And oh, then we read one of the signs that showed how this fake dinosaur was six meters tall but in real life it would have been 20 meters tall. So that explains it.

The museum had these carrier things to borrow, which was nice. Ben was not quite too sure how he felt about being in it at first.
But he warmed up to it pretty well.
