Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off to School We Go!

Last night was the kid's end-of-year program at school, and . . . .Mattie's Young Scholar Graduation! TEAR! I can't believe we are getting so close to kindergarten. I was so sad thinking about her being so grown up and leaving her little school she has been at for almost five years, that I totally forgot that Ben would be making his debut on stage, now that he is in the two-year old class. HA! It was a treat. Ben participated a little bit in the first song, as you can see in the video.

And then things went downhill fast - ladybug hat over face and playing with shirt buttons during the second song. And don't worry, he spent most of the third song pulling up his shirt and playing with his belly button.
What Mom, this is a really cool belly button I have here!!!
And then we had the big excitement of the evening . . . the Young Scholars in their caps! Sissy with her sweet friends (she is second from the left on the back row).
All of the Young Scholars showed off a skill, like reading or counting by fives. Mattie showed off her crazy math skills. So proud of my girl! She actually loves doing these math problems, but my favorite part of the video is the little curtsey at the end.

Sissy getting her diploma from the director.
And then they all sang Hi Ho, It's Off to School we Go. I may have gotten a little weepy when they sang "They're going to miss us so." Super sweet! Our family has been so blessed by this school and the sweet teachers that have helped raise and teach our babies. It is scary to think about going out of our comfort zone here into the big world of elementary school, but I know we will all survive!

What an awesome family pic! HA! Ben was hungry and eating raisins. In his defense, it was after six pm. Sissy loved getting flowers from her Daddy!
And of course we HAD to celebrate at Tony's afterwards! No Vietti family celebration would be complete without a trip to Tony's. Someone LOVES her Tony's :)

I am so proud of this smart and funny girl!
