The weather was gross, so we met our besties at the Galleria for a playdate. In fact, as Mattie pointed out when we got there, we hadn't been since Ben was in Mama's tummy. We were actually there with my mom the morning that Ben was born (later in the day). So it was super fun to take him for the first time - he loved it! In fact he was so busy, I couldn't get a still picture of him, and he almost escaped the play area once. It was a little scary! He has to be watched every second!
This hambone loved it too!
Also today, I got a glimpse for the first time of what it will be like to have two kids that play together! Ben is not quite there, but Mattie kept saying "Ben, follow me" and trying to get him to do stuff with her. She would tell other kids who approached her that she was busy playing with her little brother.
At least until Jake got there! After the play area we watched kids ice skating while we ate lunch. Then these two rode a "move" as Mattie calls it. I have no idea why she calls it that over a ride.
Kate and Ben were just chillin' in their rides. Poor Ben could barely keep his eyes open! We are still making the transition to no morning nap, now that he is in the toddler room at school.
We also caused quite a scene in the parking garage when we were leaving! This nerd had to go potty BAD, of course after we had all four kids and both strollers out in the parking garage. I've had this potty in the back of my car for a year and it hasn't been used. I decided today it was worth it. You can tell Mattie was not embarrassed in the least!
Both kids passed out for like three hours this afternoon. Heaven for Mama! Ben fell asleep before we got out of the parking garage. Mattie would not wake up, this was after her nap. . . She got a blanket and went back to sleep on the couch!
We are at a make up swim lesson for Mattie and then we will be joining Daddy and Boo to watch some cardinals!
