Wondering what we were up to this weekend?

It was a BUSY one!  After our zoo trip on Friday, we had lots of dressing up to do. 

Mattie, the ballerina fairy, was giving brother some fairy love.

And of course, Ben had to get in on the wand action! He also had on his crown and one of Cinderella's slippers at one point, but that didn't last long.  You can kind of see the abandoned slipper in the pic above.

Mama actually was super busy Saturday, so Daddy and brother watched some football.  And chewed on stuff.

Look at my cutie pie working on sitting up before church Sunday! I put these sweet little shoes on him, but they fell off in the car, so I just left them off.  It was his first time to even have shoes on his feet. Not that he needed them since it was like 99 degrees on Sunday. But whatever. It could be 109 I guess!

Saturday, Mama was busy showering. (Not literally - ha!)  Sissy went with me to a wedding shower for a dear friend of mine from college that I haven't seen in too long. It was wonderful. Mattie enjoyed it, and I was hooting at her comments as the gifts were passed around - Oh this is lovely (to a fork). HA!

Saturday evening was spent celebrating one of my besties, mama-of-a-girl-to-be Sarah!

We are of course hoping that Ben and Kate will be as struck with each other as Mattie and Jacob.

The shower was at an old-fashioned soda fountain/pharmacy. One of Sarah's friends is an event planner and had all kinds of great ideas for our "vintage" theme. We had the place to ourselves after they closed and it was so fun.

Table setting included a newsletter she wrote about the arrival of Baby Kate - complete with vintage baby ads.  TOO CUTE!
