Santa Excursion

Matt was off work today (woohoo!) so we had a fun outing with the kids this morning. We went to the original Neiman Marcus downtown to see Santa this year. I had no clue how Ben would react to sitting in Santa's lap, but he did great! These pictures are terrible, but I only had my phone with me. Matt and I were laughing about how their Santa picture was about the only thing we could afford in the store :)

Ben looks like a little 70s nerd with his sweater and his shaggy hair!
The main reason we chose to go to this location for Santa this year was because of the window displays. They are intricate and really cool. But see that white tunnel thing in the window? The kids can actually crawl through the window displays! There is an outdoor section that wraps around the corner where they are up above the sidewalk. It really was so cool - Mattie loved it.
If you look closely in the window, you can see a little Sissy waving!
Ben was too little for the window displays but he found some pretty cool toys to check out inside. Doesn't he look cute driving this precious car?!?
The afternoon turned rainy and chilly so we all rested and took advantage of some quiet time. Mattie and I did some wrapping (she is really into wrapping!) and made gift bags for her teachers this afternoon. We were hugging our babies tight tonight with heavy hearts as we struggled to understand today's tragic shooting.
